![]() At Elk River Junction the original line to Durbin continued around a sharp left curve the bridged the Shavers Fork of the Elk River. The Durbin Sub continued up a 1.07% and 1.45% grades to Cheat Junction and the former connection with a logging railroad the G.C. & E. I 1931 a connection was built to the former G.C. & E. line from Elk river Jct. by immediately bridging the Shavers Fork and crossing the Durbin Sub at a diamond before reconnecting with the former G. C. & E. line at Greenbrier Jct.
