1900 and 2012 topo maps The Western Maryland had a 2 mile branch off the mainline at the C75.4 milepost. The branch ran to Pierce Mines Nos. 39-40 about halfway up the branch and Fairfax Sand at the end of the branch. Sand Run/C75.4 was also the East End of two tracks after the double track east was cut back to here from the summit of the grade at Fairfax. View Larger Map
